| | | Welcome | | | | | | Welcome to The Justice Guard!
Upon returning from the Rogue Isles, Commander Amazing, having thwarted one of Lord Recluse's most sinister plan to date, namely the siphoning of every super power in the world into him, Amazing was re-instated into the Freedom Phalanx. However, rather then take on full time membership, Amazing decided that the situation that brought the world on the brink of destruction should never come that close again. He decided to put together a cadre of super heroes that, should they have to, could take on the more dangerous missions of Paragon City and the world, where the Freedom Phalanx couldn't. ''(The latter had already been seen in what many now call the Statesman's Taskforce, where Statesman himself was powerless to stop his one time friend, Lord Recluse...)'' As luck would have it, Liberty Guard, the "embodiment of patriotism" and long time friend of Amazing, began talking about just the same thing. LG would recount his days in the Justice Guard, a premier SuperGroup before and after the Rikti war, that had fallen into disarray and abandonment. At that moment in time, they both looked at each other and agreed that it was in fact time for The Justice Guard to be "reborn", with a new leadership behind it, one that represented the best of the current heroes and the champions of old. Their idea was perfect, until they ran into a slight problem. Statesman still didn't entirely believe that Amazing had the maturity to be trusted with such an undertaking, but with the increased media coverage and publicity over the Commander having; in fact; led a team to save the world, he simply couldn't yank his membership or hero rights, nor could he put one of his own with Amazing, things were far too busy. So he came up with a middle ground: A police liaison. ArchStrike; a mutant police officer; was to be a third founding member with equal rights of Amazing and LG, just to keep an eye on things. Amazing protested but he was stopped short by Statesman's ability to veto any new Super group, which he threatened to do. Amazing conceded and ' ''The Justice Guard''' was reborn! However... It is said that there are always two sides to every coin.
The Society of Evil After a defeat by a seemingly nobody super hero, Lord Recluse charges Dreadnot, a former Paragon Native who has strong ties to Commander Amazing, to create a splinter group within Arachnos to deal with the upstart Commander, as well as his newly formed "Justice Guard". Giving the funding of Arachnos, Dreadnot sets out to enlist those most cunning, powerful and ruthless to aid him in his assignment to hunt down every member of The Justice Guard, and break them in two!

First, tonight's push includes a new selection under the "In Beta" area of the Control Panel, which allows you to provide your own custom HTML for the body of all pages on your site. Next, we've addressed some bugs that have been reported concerning the editor (sorry folks, looks like we were wrong about it being a cookies issue). Info sections have also had a bug fixed.

The new chat room is finally fully operational and we believe most of the quirky behavior some are seeing in the new editor control are related to old cookies. Try clearing those out (especially in FireFox -- grrr) and if you still have trouble, let us know via support ticket, please.

Lord of the Rings Online guilds will notice a few new features that went along with the editor push tonight. Namely, guild rosters now load directly from Turbine's servers, and the editor (when posting) has a "One Ring" icon that, when clicked, helps you add links to LOTRO-related goodies. The roster will load from Turbine's servers only if there is an exact match for your guild name and the server you selected when you started the guild. If either are incorrect, they can be modified in the Control Panel under Guild Name and Server. LOTRO Integration can be disabled/re-enabled in the Control Panel as well, under LOTRO Integration.

We will be deploying the latest version of the WYSIWYG editor later today. It will resolve issues with IE 8, and has a few neat things that we can do with it, moving forward. We are testing it in the latest versions of all browsers, and also ensuring compatibility with a version back, where feasible. For some browsers with rapid release schedules (like Firefox), please ensure you have auto-updates configured.

Enhancements going live this morning: around 40 new custom forum emoticons available for you to set in your Control Panel (under Custom Images : Emoticons). Also, clicking on an event from the monthly calendar view will take you directly to the event you selected, instead of displaying all events on that day. Of course, some probably liked seeing all of the events for the day, so what we've done to compensate was put a list of all events for that day to the right, above the two small selection calendars you see when viewing an event. It's got an animated opening -- you can't miss it. =)
